Can they work with insurance companies, negotiate on your behalf, and navigate a claim process? - Reputation
There’s nothing more powerful than a personal endorsement. Do they have any client testimonials? Who would your friends or colleagues recommend?
Whomever you select, you need to have confidence that the adviser will be there when you need them, and provide a level of personal service not available via a bank or online.
This is highly subjective and depends on a client’s personal circumstances and needs. For example, life cover is designed to protect your family and/or business in the case of your untimely death. - How the business operates
- The adviser’s qualifications
- Recommended insurance products
- The insurance companies with which the adviser can place your business
- How the adviser is paid (e.g., through commission from a lender)
